+ What is ParentingEQ?
ParentingEQ is an activity box with the purpose of increasing children's emotional intelligence (EQ) through engaging, social-emotional learning activities. ParentingEQ offers two product lines, the Mini Box (Ages 4-7) and the Junior Box (Ages 8-11) which includes a 6 box series.
+ Who can benefit from ParentingEQ?
ParentingEQ can benefit all families with children ages 4-11. Our carefully designed boxes and intentional activities are intended to help families build skills that can have a positive impact on relationships, stress management, and overall emotional health.
+ What is emotional intelligence?
Emotional intelligence or emotional quotient (EQ) is defined as an individual's ability to identify, evaluate, control and express emotions. Emotional intelligence does not mean letting your feelings have free reign. Instead it means managing feelings so that they are expressed appropriately and effectively, enabling people to work together toward their common goals.
+ Why is emotional intelligence an important skill to teach children?
People with high EQ usually make great leaders and team players because of their ability to understand, empathize and connect with the people around them. Decades of research shows that children who develop these skills early make healthier decisions, and have a greater chance of leading successful lives.
+ What comes in my ParentingEQ box?
Each activity kit includes items to read, play, & practice with your child that focuses on a variety of EQ competencies (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills). Additionally, each box will include “tools” to add to your family toolkit and parenting tips.
+ How much does the ParentingEQ Box Cost?
The ParentingEQ individual box is $54.95 plus shipping. We also offer the option to purchase 3 boxes for $180 (includes shipping) or 6 boxes for $355 (includes shipping). The boxes will be shipped all together.
+ Can I pause my ParentingEQ subscription?
You can pause your subscription by clicking on the login button located in the top right hand corner of the screen. After entering your credentials, click on "Subscriptions" and "Manage". From there, you can choose to pause your subscription for up to 2 billing cycles. Please note, in order to pause your subscription you must have completed one successful billing cycle.
+ Can I cancel my ParentingEQ subscription?
You may cancel your subscription anytime up until your next billing date. To cancel, click on the login button located in the top right hand corner of the screen. After you enter your credentials, choose "Subscription" and then "Manage". Once you've opened up your order details, click on "Subscription Settings" and you will see an option to either pause or cancel your subscription. If you are enrolled in the Junior series, your subscription will be automatically cancelled once the series has been completed (6 boxes/12 months).
+ What if I have multiple children in my home?
Both the Mini and the Junior lines are intended to be used as a family and many of the items included can be shared. If you have children that fall into both age groups, and purchasing both lines is not an option, we suggest choosing the line that best meets the needs of your family.
+ Can I order ParentingEQ as a gift?
Yes! ParentingEQ makes a great gift for anyone with children ages 4-11.
+ Are there boxes designed for children under 4 or over 11?
At this time, we develop our products for families with children between the ages of 4 and 11. We hope to expand our product offerings in the future and will be sure to let our mailing list know!
+ Is ParentingEQ available internationally?
ParentingEQ is only available in the United States.
